Not Fair to Review
This is not the full-length version and one or more scenes are put out of order from what the director intended. So, it's not fair to judge the move based on this cut-up version. Now fellows, who where teenagers in the '60's or '70'2, you have to admit, that any movie with a scenario wherein you're assigned to mate with Olivia Hussey, well...(dabbing forehead)...that's a great movie regardless!!!! The 'poor' fellow who presented his note showing he had an appointment to 'do' Olivia. -Darn!- Poor guy. What work! Wonder if he got to say, "Let's do it again to make sure you're pregnant? Wow. She's a true fox, as we used to call beautiful women back then. Anyways...I plan to rent full-length version and watch again.

Dead depressing
A very depressing film, with no hope or salvation offered or implied. Watch only if you're in the mood to spend over an hour and 1/2 to reach a highly negative and pointless ending.

Not as bad as suggested...
While not an Oscar winner by any account, this film has taken a beating over the years, yet with a solid cast(even if they are past prime)and a decent story that has been retold in films like Outbreak and many others, this is a film worth a look. Some controversial scenes like when they decide that they must re-populate the world yet there are only a handful of women compared to many men. Check it out..not that bad.

another version of the film
A very ambitious and beautiful film, reminds me of the short from Kurosawa's Dreams where scientists cause a similar situation. a widescreen version (slightly windowboxed) is available here: http://www.archive.org/details/Virus_Fukkatsu_no_hi
